Stand against racism and discrimination.

  • Galway Communities Against Racism and Discrimination is a network of organisations working in Galway to take collective action against racism and discrimination and build a community response that celebrates diversity in solidarity with the people of Galway. We believe that no matter who we are or where we come from, we all deserve to feel safe and supported in our communities.

  • To challenge racism in all its forms in Galway, promoting the value of diversity by sharing messages of equality and human rights.

To take action to build community solidarity in order to challenge racism, discrimination and the spread of division and hate.

  • To build relationships with organisations and community groups in order to support effective campaigns against racism and discrimination.

To highlight and campaign on policy matters that generate social exclusion and disadvantage in order to address misinformation.

To build solidarity and promote an equal and inclusive city and county through positive messaging and campaigns.

To demonstrate solidarity with individuals and groups who experience racism and discrimination on an individual or an institutional level, and ensure active participation of these groups.

  • The Pledge of Solidarity is a tangible demonstration of support for marginalised individuals and communities who are subjected to racism and discrimination in their daily lives. You can sign as an individual or as an organisation. This is a commitment to stand for principles of equality and equity for all in our society. Upon pledging solidarity, we will send you a personalised version of the pledge with your credentials to display on your socials, and in your organisation.
