  • Galway Stands Together Solidarity March 2024

    23.03.24 2:00-3:00PM

    We are holding a Solidarity March as part of Nelson Mandela Anti Racism Week at the university of Galway. We will be meeting at the Cathedral at 2pm on Saturday the 23rd of March and we will march together against racism and for equity and equality for all members of society. The March will end at Spanish Arch where we will have speeches, songs, and drumming. All welcome – share wide and far and bring banners, colours, and energy!

  • Connecting Communities Workshop Launch

  • Westside Welcomes All

    A network uniting those living in Galway City West to unite against racism and discrimination in their community. The network was launched last summer with a community family fun day which included activities and performances from the vast range of individuals and communities living in Galway City West who want to celebrate their community as an equal, diverse and welcoming place.

    The official launch of Galway Communities Against Racism and Discrimination in Galway hosted by SIPTU with speeches and panel discussion around the issues of racism and discrimination affecting communities across Galway.

    The first march hosted by GCARD to celebrate the launch of the network and to bring together all communities in Galway to march for equality and equity in Galway.
